Life Along the Canal: The Art of John M. Lamb

Explore Life Along the Canal: The Art of John M. Lamb, a new exhibit currently on display in the Gaylord Building Historic Site in Lockport, Illinois.

Inside the Illinois Passage: Connecting the Continent first-floor gallery, they are highlighting the work of John Lamb, a former Lewis University history professor and local historian who is also the founder of the Adelmann Regional History Collection.

Lamb who has been aligned with the Illinois and Michigan Canal for over 60 years, has fashioned a world in which angels, saints, boat captains, and cityscapes take shape along the reflective waters of the canal.

Stop by and witness all the hard work he has put into making each of these pieces while learning about life along the canal.

Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM and on Saturday from noon until 5 PM.
