Are you looking to get out in the fresh air? Are you ready to explore the beautiful views of nature, all covered in snow?
Head on down to the Starved Rock State Park Area for upcoming winter activities that you can enjoy with family, friends, or as a solo at the Starved Rock Lodge and Conference Center.
January Times: Jan 16 (1pm), Jan 17 (11am and 1pm), Jan 23 (11am and 1pm), Jan 24 (11am and 1pm), Jan 30 (1pm)
Join the Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center for their narrated trolley ride to see winter wildlife in their natural habitat.
This tour will depart from the Lodge and will take you on a tour throughout the Buffalo Rock State Park to visit their resident Bison. Then, you will make your way to the IL Waterway Visitor Center observation desk as well as a couple other areas to spot any eagle.
You will be given a lunch which includes: turkey or veggie wrap, bag of chips, granola bar, piece of fruit and a bottled water.
Tickets are $25 per person. Capacity is limited, so be sure to call (815) 220-7386 for reservations.

Discover what Starved Rock State Park looks like during the winter on a guided hike through the trails.
There will be chances for you to spot bald eagles soaring high through the trees, so bring your camera to snap an awesome picture!
Dress appropriately for the weather including proper footwear. With your adventure you will also receive a snack, bottled water, Starved Rock backpack and voucher for a small hot chocolate or coffee in the Café once you return from the hike.
This adventure is $15 per person and reservations are required.
Join head musher Jason Hussong as he takes you through a sled god demo and seminar. The seminar will take place 30 minutes before each of the outdoor demos and the outdoor sled dog demos will take place in the northwest corner of the Visitor Center Parking Lot at 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm.
Face masks and mittens/gloves are required to pet the sled dogs. Admission is free!
