READ ON!Streator, IL finished in first place in a nationwide contest to receive a visit from Portillo’s Beef Bus this weekend, from October 22-25, 2020, 12pm – 8pm at the Streator City Park.
This Chicago-style restaurant ran a contest to bring a bus serving some of their best items on their menu to cities across the nation that don’t normally have access to their food.
How was Streator chosen? The City of Streator and the Streator Walldogs teamed up to promote the contest on the Streator Illinois Walldogs page and the next day were already in third place. After moving up to second place, sticking close behind Peachtree City, GA, Streator finally took the chocolate cake shake and came in first!
The lucky winners will be able to enjoy some of the tastiest Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, cheese fries and beverages all weekend long.
