Convention Bureau Plans Trip to Chicago to See
Musical Wicked
So, you enjoy live theatre – especially musicals. Not sure
about driving downtown for a show with the hassles of the
Stevenson, parking, and buying the tickets. Well, good
news. The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors
Bureau (CVB) is planning a motor coach trip to downtown
Chicago to see Wicked. The musical currently has a
limited extended stay in Chicago.
Join the friends of the Heritage Corridor Bureau on Wednesday, April 25 to see
the smash hit musical Wicked. Don’t wait any longer to see what happened
before Dorothy dropped in. Terry Yohnka (Joliet) has already purchased her
ticket; she has read the book and now wants to experience the musical. While
her husband, Dennis (Joliet), is only attending to be “popular” – hinting at one of
the duets between the two main characters, Elphaba and Galinda.
The $99 package includes motor coach transportation into the city, snacks on the
way up, dress circle tickets (these are a great location) at the Oriental Theatre,
and transportation back with wine and dessert along the way. The motor coach
will pick-up in Utica, Ottawa, Morris, and Bolingbrook before dropping you off at
the under the green lights of the Oriental Theatre on Randolph Street in Chicago.
Attendees must be over 21 and pay in advance; there are a limited number of
seats for the event.
