Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Taste Of Bolingbrook Kicks off this Weekend at The Promenade Bolingbrook

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend, come out to the Taste of Bolingbrook,  August 10th from noon to 10:00pm. It will take place at the Promenade Bolingbrook area. The admission, parking, music & entertainment as well as the Family Fun Zone are all free. This year will be bigger than ever. There will be six bands on two different stages, an extended Family Fun Zone, street performers, a magician, treasure hunt (sponsored by Escape Hour Room) and so much more! 

On the main stage you will hear selections from the Cutaway Band, which is a group that plays classic and current rock music. The One More Time Band is very versatile with their music, from rock to indies and country. Then you’ll have, Hey Jimmy, who is a premier party dance band based in Chicago, that will have you up on your feet.

Camp Fire Kata Kani Camp Brings the Fun 
12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Camp Fire Kata Kani Camp brings free, fun, interactive games and activities for kids to enjoy.

Get Crafty with Mia's Wish
12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
As one of The Promenade’s Battle of the Pop-Up winners, Mia’s Wish is a Bolingbrook favorite. Guests can enjoy a natural perfume class and take home whatever they create! Available while supplies last.

The Painting Camp Presents Perfect Paintings 
12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Guests are invited to paint their own masterpiece on ceramics with The Painting Camp. There is a $10 fee, cash or card accepted. Available while supplies last.

Move & Groove with The Eastern Fire Belly Dance Group
12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Enjoy free belly dancing lessons with The Eastern Fire Belly Dance Group!

Stay & Play with Bricks and Minifigs of Crest Hill
12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Kids! Use your imagination and play all day with LEGOs from Bricks and Minifigs of Crest Hill. Note: LEGOs must stay at the station.

VCA Bolingbrook’s Pawsome Pets 
12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Learn how to brush dogs’ teeth, fit them for a harness, trim pets’ nails, clean dogs’ ears and more with VCA Bolingbrook. 

Hoop It Up with Brook Town Force 
12 p.m. - 7 p.m., Brooks Lane  
Community favorite Brook Town Force teaches some basic basketball drills and cheer moves on Brooks Lane.

Test Your Escape Skills at Escape Hour Room
12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Will you figure out how to open the treasure box at Escape Hour Room? Cost is $10, cash or card accepted. 

Get Glam with the Pros from Macy’s 
1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Learn from the pros at Macy’s on how to get your best look with Clinique and Lancome. L’Oreal fragrances will also educate guests on how to make a scent last all day.

Bolingbrook S.T.E.M. Presents Super S.T.E.M. 
1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Bolingbrook S.T.E.M. brings activities including, "sound waves” featuring a harmonica and a drinking straw, plus building and stacking fun.

Chalk and Awe with The Bolingbrook Arts Council
1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
The Bolingbrook Arts Council shares tips and tricks on how to create a chalk art masterpiece!

Lowen’s Flower Farm Make & Take 
3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Visit Lowen’s Flower Farm Succulent Bar to make and decorate a planter to take home. Prices start at $10. Available while supplies last.

Bach to Rock’s Rocking Animals 
3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Be part of the instrument petting zoo while exploring instruments with Bach to Rock.
