Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Annual Lighted Holiday Parade in Morris IL

Don’t miss Santa’s arrival at the Lighted Holiday Parade in Nostalgic Downtown Morris. 

At approximately 6pm, the beautiful Chapin Park will light up so bright, followed by caroling with the Coal City High School and Morris Community High School Madrigals. 

Visit Santa and receive a free horse-drawn sleigh ride! To help bring the Christmas spirit along the downtown streets, the only requirement is the use of lights for entry into the parade. Rather that is a battery powered, glow lights, or electrical lights powered by generators or electrical inverters come help light up Morris and fill the streets with Holiday joy! 

If you would like to be in this years parade, the celebration will begin at the corner of Franklin and Washington streets and concludes at Chapins Park. The deadline for applications are November 22.
