Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

OmniPrize for the Arts

Ottawa is hosting the OmniPrize for the Arts in Downtown Ottawa from September 7-9. For 3 days, visitors and residents will be able to stroll the streets of Ottawa as art galleries take over shops, musicians line the streets and films & drama performances play from morning to night.

Ottawa is establishing the premier juried art festival in the State of Illinois showcasing visual artists, theatre, film and music in Ottawa, Illinois from September 6-9, 2018. $35,000 in Cash prizes and recognition will be awarded to winning artists from an esteemed jury and from public votes!


All visual artists, musicians, theatre groups and film producers are encourage to apply to be part of this great festival celebrating the arts.
