Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Old Joliet Prison Paranormal Tours and Investigations

Old Joliet Prison Paranormal Tours and Investigations are a collaboration between Chicago Hauntings and Joliet Area Historical Museum. Tours run through November 11th. All tours and investigations significantly benefit the Prison restoration and Joliet Area History Museum. For tickets go to JolietHauntings.com.

Chicago Hauntings will be running Old Joliet Prison Paranormal Tours and Investigations beginning on Monday, October 8th. The 90 minute tour travels through the main Prison and warden’s offices, the Yard, Solitary Confinement, the old Prison Hospital and more. Attendess should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and warm clothing. Chicago Hauntings will be running evening tours daily. Tickets for the Paranormal Tours are $35 per person and you must be 12 years of age and over to enter.

Spend the Midnight Hour with veteran paranormal investigators, as you delve into a real paranormal research expedition at one of the world's most sought after historic sites for investigators.  Limited to 18 people per night. Wear warm, comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes, bring water, a snack and a flashlight, along with your camera or video recorder if you have one.  Paranormal Investigations will run from 10pm to 1am, Fridays and Saturdays until November 10th. The entree fee is $55 per person & you must be 18 or older to enter.
