Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Route 66 Raceway is the World’s Premier Drag Racing facility located three miles south of I-80 on Historic Route 66. Route 66 Raceway is the sister track to Chicagoland Speedway. Route 66 hosts the annual NHRA Route 66 Nationals, a stop of the professional NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. The Route 66 Raceway also hosts an annual Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, the NMRA / NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing, ET Bracket Series races, the NHRA Jr. Drag Racing League and other various events throughout the year. Adjacent to Route 66 Raceway is The Dirt Oval at 66, which hosts multiple dirt racing events as well as demolition derbies. Joliet and Route 66 Raceway are your racing headquarters all year round.
