The United States has more species of salamanders than any other place in the world. Salamanders are amphibians with smooth moist skin that look similar to lizards. Join us as we compare amphibians with reptiles by meeting a few of our live animal friends. Get down and dirty with these critters by joining naturalists for an exclusive guided off-trail experience, searching for blue-spotted salamanders, frogs, toads and more. Plus, explore Purdue University's "A Salamander Tale" exhibit to find out how you can help protect these amazing creatures. Please dress for the weather; part of the program will take place outdoors. Indoor facilities are accessible; outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. This program is for all ages. Registration required.
