Celebrate Earth Day at a cleanup event along the banks of Rock Run Rookery Preserve. We will collect small and large debris accumulated at the water's edge. It will be a morning of invigorating work and Earth Day enthusiasm that is sure to leave you with a sense of great accomplishment. Dress for the weather and for getting dirty. Waterproof footwear is highly recommended. Cleanup instructions and safety equipment will be provided on the day of the event. Due to the proximity to water and the unpredictable nature of the debris we will be collecting, this cleanup is limited to individuals 14 years of age or older. The cleanup areas are off-trail and require walking through rough, uneven terrain. Do you have your own kayak and would you like to clean up areas we can't get to by foot? Bring it along and join in our efforts. The kayak launch will be open, weather permitting. Please call to register groups with over six participants. For ages 14 or older. Registration required by Wednesday, April 18.
