This program is designed to practice environmental stewardship while helping others – what a win-win! Plum Creek will collect bicycles to be given to local recycling nonprofits that refurbish them for youth, individuals with disabilities, and families in developing countries as a mode of transportation. The bikes are redistributed to people locally, regionally and globally. Bikes can be in any condition: new or beyond repair. Be green – reduce, reuse, recycle! Let the Forest Preserve be an avenue to make that happen, especially to benefit someone in need.
