Synchronized kite dancing, 90-foot flying kites, and candy falling from the sky all set to music! Who could ask for more? Remember the nostalgic memories of flying a kite as a child? Be sure to introduce your family to the same experience by participating in Plum Creek's "Jammin' Family Kite Fly Festival." Members of the Illinois Kite Enthusiasts group will help to host a fun-filled day that will highlight the excitement of kite flying. Pack a cooler and come out to enjoy nature, fly kites and listen to some music. Bring a kite or purchase one from our kite vendor. Make sure to also visit the nature center to experience our kite display and take home a kite craft. Then get up close and personal with some live raptors. This program will take place on paved paths or natural surfaces across uneven terrain. The nature center is an accessible facility.
