Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Don Sala has been a professional photographer for almost 50 years. View an exhibit of his photography on display at the Plum Creek Nature Center Tuesday, January 2-Wednesday, February 28.

This award-winning photographer's work captures images of nature and local barns in eastern Will County. Photographs will be available for sale. Sala's inspiration for his photos is derived from landscapes, people and objects he encounters.

Gain specific photography knowledge by registering to join him and Forest Preserve staff for a "Winter Nature Photography Hike" on Saturday, January 27. See this program description for details.

Hours for the program vary: Tuesday-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Noon-4 p.m.; Monday, Closed

No registration required.

This program is offered indoors in an accessible facility. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
