Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Winter Nature Photography Hike with Don Sala

Get inspired by award-winning photographer Don Sala as he presents his art exhibit temporarily displayed at Plum Creek Nature Center. With almost 50 years of experience as a professional photographer, he is sure to give you new ideas for your next photo shoot. Then enjoy a hike with a naturalist in Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve as you take photos along the way; bring a camera (smartphone through digital SLR). The program will focus on technique and composition, not camera operation. Please dress for the weather; part of the program will take place outdoors. Indoor facilities are accessible; outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. The hike may be 1-1.5 miles long. For ages 16 or older.
