Explore the secrets that our forest preserves hold at night. Join naturalists as they search for the elusive winged predator, the owl. Discover the natural history of Will County owls and why they call at this time of year. After the woodland walk, enjoy a fire, hot cocoa and marshmallows. Bring your favorite mug and camping chair to sit by the fire. Pick your time and location. Meet at Plum Creek Nature Center for hikes at Plum Creek and Hickory Hollow Shelter for hikes at Hickory Creek Preserve. Participants will hike on natural surface trails across uneven terrain. Be prepared to walk 1.5 miles. The program will be partly outdoors, so please dress for the weather. The indoor portion of the program will be held in an accessible facility.
