Although it no longer exists today, Sag Bridge was once a thriving 19th century canal town, its land now a part of present-day Lemont, Illinois. Author and amateur historian Pat Camalliere will describe the town as it once was, from its formation by glaciers and unique geography, to its vital importance in the development of Chicago, its decline and the closing of its school district in 1959. The program includes photos, turn of the century transportation and ghost stories.

Speaker Pat Camalliere is the author of The Mystery at Sag Bridge and The Mystery at Black Partridge Woods, historical mysteries that take place in Lemont, Illinois, a suburb southwest of Chicago. An amateur historian and board member of the Lemont Area Historical Society, Camalliere sets her books in Lemont because of the area's fascinating history and geography. She is a member of The Society of Midland Authors, The Chicago Writers Association, and Sisters in Crime.
