Category: Arts/Crafts
Location: Illinois State Museum, Lockport, 201 W 10th St # 1W, Lockport, IL 60441

We are partial to the I&M Canal. Join us this summer as we respond to the nature, architecture and history of the region. Engage with us creatively to build our community, share our knowledge, and make some art!

Starting June 24, 2017 you are invited to make art with us along the I&M Canal here in Lockport. All media is welcome.

Your registration fee of $50.00 for this event guarantees at least one artwork that you have created to be included in the "Plein Air 17 Exhibition" this fall at the Illinois State Museum-Lockport. Expand your audience of collectors. Engage the public at large with your inspiration. Work at your own leisure and pace. Share your results on the ISM social media platforms. Interact and build creative relationships that will last a lifetime. As your registration is processed, we will inform you directly of updates including inside information on recommended supplies and how each artist will manage their days creativity. Not interested in making art? Come down during the scheduled dates and enjoy the spectacle. Meet the artists and add a piece of art to your collection. Think of it as your own personal, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grande Jatte."

Our summer exhibition in the museum is "Toybox-Inspiration Through Play"
