Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Take one more trip before school starts with Grandma Jeanne! Prairie Fox Books will be hosting the always popular Grandma Jeanne as she takes us around the world with stories of her many adventures. Jeanne Roppolo is the author of the famous Grandma Goes To...series of kids' books, as well as a memoir called Surreal, which follows her on her work in Antarctica. She began all of her exploring in her 50's, and now works as a motivational speaker, storyteller, and adventurer. You do not want to miss this talk! Free event, ages 4-104. Followed by a craft.
