These eight-legged crawling critters scare many, but in reality we should all be thankful they are a part of our ecosystem! In this fun, family program, you will learn about many of our local species, their benefit to the environment, and some of their amazing adaptations. We will also go outside and search for these marvelous creatures. By the end of this program, you may not love spiders but you just might appreciate them a little more. Please dress for the weather and an evening stroll outside both on- and off-trail. The hike will be up to 1 mile in length on paved and natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Ages 5 or older. Registration required by Tuesday, September 10: 815.722.9470.
