Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Art, music, theater, dance and activities for children and adults alike! Saturday Schedule: 10:00am – 4:00pm – Art Walk – Washington Street one block east and west of Liberty, and Liberty north of Washington Street – Visit the Fine Art Walk and separate Maker's Market. The Fine Art Walk is juried and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will have ribbons displayed. 10:00am – 3:00pm – Plein-Air Class & Painting – Grundy County Courthouse Lawn – Presented by the Morris Watercolor Guild, David Becker will demonstrate and provide assistance to participants. Please bring your own watercolor supplies, easel and chair. Registration begins at 9:00am, and the cost is $20 dollars cash, paid on the day of class. Lunch will be on your own. Picnic tables and food vendors will be nearby. Rain location, First United Methodist Church. Those attending the Liberty Arts Festival will have the opportunity to see "art in action". 4:00pm – 8:00pm – Shine Music Fest – Goold Park – Free Christian music festival headlining Stars Go Dim at 7:00pm. Opening acts are Alpha & Omega band from Immaculate Conception and local Christian rock band, Ignescent! Many activities including volleyball henna tattoos, face painting, food and more!
