We are making history in Joliet.

After fifteen years of neglect, the iconic 1858 "Old Joliet Prison," made famous in The Blues Brothers and Prison Break, is coming back to life. To mark this momentous occasion, we are working with our community partners to "go big" with a celebration which will be talked about for years to come!

"The Great Prison Break-In" will be an evening of the best music, food and beverages our area has to offer, all in the prison yard of this historic site. The Blooze Brothers, M&R Rush, PettyCash and Hot Mess (featuring Joliet Mayor Bob O'Dekirk) are ready to rock the joint, with proceeds from the event will benefit the Joliet Area Historical Museum's continued work to stabilize the Prison in order to make it accessible for public tours and educational programs.

Please note: To attend, you must be at least 21 years of age (or older) by August 24 2019. Taxes and Eventbrite fees are included in the ticket price. Your ticket will gain access to the prison yard and limited access to the East Cellblock and Solitary Confinement buildings.

This event is "RAIN OR SHINE" and no ticket refunds will be issued.

You can visit the event's home page at jolietprison.org.
