Where is the Heritage Corridor?
The Heritage Corridor Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) encompasses the communities and counties along the historic 97-mile Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor. The Heritage Corridor spans from the Chicago Portage Area just southwest of Chicago to LaSalle-Peru including the counties of Will, Grundy, LaSalle and Putnam. The region conveniently located along I-55 from Chicago to Joliet along I-80 west to LaSalle-Peru.

Chicagoland Speedway located in Joliet on historic Route 66, is one of the United States premier auto-racing facilities. The Chicagoland Speedway annually hosts NASCAR’s premier series on its magnificent 1.5 mile tri-oval. You will feel the roar of the engines, and smell the burning of rubber, as you witness stock cars race past you at thrilling speeds of 180 mph. Champions Park at Chicagoland Speedway is the place to be on race day. Recognized as one of the most impressive and fan-interactive display areas in motorsports, Champions Park provides a park-like setting right next to the Chicagoland Speedway grandstands. The speedway also hosts numerous community events throughout the year, such as the Super Chevy Show, Trunk-or-Treat, and the Santa Celebration and 5k. Every weekend is race weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.
